People ask me, does social media work. The answer is yes, it most assuredly does. Allow me to provide an example.
A few weeks ago I got an email from a reporter in Maryland. She saw that I had posted about a seminar I am presenting. Where did I post about it? On Twitter. What is my topic? Social media and its use in law firm marketing and networking. What did she want to talk about? Social media use by lawyers.
So, there you go. I got some publicity in a new geographical area and the reporter got her interview. We never would have made the connection without social media.
