I hate referring to myself in the third person, so please pardon the SEO title. Also, I completely stole this idea from Sharon Nelson. Anyway. Here is information on where I will be during the ABA TechShow this week.
Wednesday
I will be at various networking events. I will arrive at the hotel at around 7:00pm. I haven’t decided dinner plans yet. So feel free to ask me 😉
Thursday
Thursday is my speaking day. I thank the ABA TechShow planners for putting all of my seminars on one day.
9:00-10:00 Ethics of Social Media Marketing with Robert Ambrogi and Jeff Lantz
This should be a fun, fast-paced session. We each came up with 5 questions about social media, marketing and ethics.
2:00-3:00 Build a Website in an Hour – this one is just me. This seminar is based on my book, WordPress in One Hour for Lawyers.
I have completed a Powerpoint presentation with 80 slides. Hopefully, these slides will be useful after the seminar, because I will have to push through pretty quickly. My goal is to give an overview of what you know to build your own website using WordPress
5:00-6:00 Networking event sponsored by CaseMap
7:45-9:00 (or so) Taste of Tech Show at Mercat a la Planxa
The dinner is with my co-speakers from Ethics of Social Media Marketing. We will be discussing Minefields of Social Media. This session is sponsored by FindLaw, who will generously contribute some money towards the final bill. At this point it is full, but there will probably be a waiting list.
Friday
I will be doing my job as a host and sitting at two booths today.
8:00-10:00 The TechShow Informational Booth.
Otherwise known as the LoveBoat. Why is it called the LoveBoat? Ask Lincoln Mead. I always think he should call it the LoveBooth.
10:15-11:30 The Law Practice Division’s Publications Booth.
This booth is located with all of the other booths in the large hall. If you stop by the booth and buy my book, I will sign it for you. I don’t know why anyone would want me to do this, except people keep telling me I am supposed to sign my book. I warn you. I have messy handwriting.
After 11:30 I will be free to relax and be a normal attendee of the rest of the events.
Saturday
I am leaving in the afternoon. I am not sure what time, probably between 3:00 and 5:00.
