As I mentioned in a previous entry, Facebook decided to hide the ball as far as how to delete a post. Well, Twitter decided to do the same thing. As a result, people who don’t commonly use Facebook and Twitter are running into some issues when it comes to figuring out how to delete a mistake. If you need help with Facebook, see my instructions here. I also address how to change the privacy settings on a specific post.
In this article I will explain how to delete a tweet while using the web-based version of Twitter. It is actually quite easy.
First, if you look at a Tweet that you wrote, you will see no obvious way to delete it.
However, if you hover your mouse over the top of the tweet, towards the right, the options will appear. Simply choose the correct option. In this case, delete.
The same issue holds true if you are looking at someone else’s tweet and you would like to retweet it or respond to it. Nothing shows up on the initial tweet. (Jared, I hope you don’t mind that I used you as an example.)
As before, just hover your mouse towards the upper right of the post, and the options appear. Just click on what you need.
